電影配樂大師 顏尼歐 莫利克奈 ( Ennio Morricone ) 1928 年 11 月 10 日出生於義大利羅馬， 9 歲就讀於聖潔契利亞音樂學院 ( Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia ) 研究所，師承義大利著名作曲家 佩特拉西 ( Goffredo Petrassi )，主修小號 ( trumpet )、作曲、合唱音樂、合唱團指揮。
迄今已經為超過 500 部電影與電視劇配樂，產量之多，作品之豐富，前所未見，甚至連大師 顏尼歐 本人，也無法釐清他一生到底累積多少作品。
2007 年，榮獲奧斯卡金像獎「終生成就獎」( Honorary Academy Award )。
此曲為 顏尼歐 的著名作品「教會」( The Mission )，旋律優美動人極富感情，是我本人非常喜歡的作品，最著名的演奏版本就是與大提琴大師 馬友友 合作錄音的《 馬友友的電影琴緣 》專輯。

"Nella Fantasia" ("In My Fantasy") is an Italian song based on the theme "Gabriel、s Oboe" from the film The Mission (1986). With music by famed composer Ennio Morricone and lyrics by Chiara Ferraù, "Nella Fantasia" is popular among classical crossover singers, and has been performed by numerous artists and groups such as Amici Forever, Celtic Woman (Chloë Agnew), Sarah Brightman, Garðar Thór Cortes, Il Divo and Russell Watson.
"Nella Fantasia" first appeared on Sarah Brightman、s album Eden (1998). On the March 1999 video recording of her "One Night in Eden" concert, when introducing the song she said:[1]
“
My next song was originally an instrumental written by the composer Ennio Morricone for the film The Mission. About three years ago I wrote Mr. Morricone, asking if he would give me permission to turn this particular piece into a song. He flatly refused. So every two months I would send yet another begging letter, until I think he got so sick of me he finally relented. And I am really glad that he did, because I think it works beautifully as a song.
”
In the liner notes of Eden, the lyricist of the song was named as "Ferraù". However, it has been suggested on the fansite Sarahbrightman.co.uk that the Italian lyrics of the song were written by Brightman herself.It is possible that Brightman wrote the lyrics of the song in English and they were translated into Italian by Ferraù. Confusingly, the liner notes of Brightman、s subsequent album The Very Best of 1990–2000 (2001), which also featured the song, state that the composers of the song were Berta Ferraud and Ennio Morricone.[1] It may be that "Berta" is a nickname and "Ferraud" a misspelling.
Later recordings by Il Divo on their self-titled album Il Divo (2004), by Amici Forever on their album Defined (2005), and by Garðar Thór Cortes on his album Cortes (UK release, 2007) confirm that the lyricist of the song is a female composer named Chiara Ferraù.

從一位在工廠做十二小時的夜班工人（製作螺絲及螺絲帽），一躍成為世界級的大明星，成為各國首相及國王的座上嘉賓。只因，他在家鄉當地的選秀節目中，脫穎而出打敗了其他四百位同樣抱著明星夢的角逐者，從此以後，他將熱情投注於音樂，將生命燃燒於歌唱。一位新聞工作者這麼說他：「今年，有一個人，他是唯一一位，出現在溫布利球場的次數比貝克漢姆（David Beckham）還多的人：他就是羅素華生（Russell Watson）！」無異的，這是幸運的，並且激勵人心。
可惜，上帝早已為羅素華生寫下了兇險的人生劇本。正當他的專輯在世界大賣暢銷時，他發現自己的聲音出現了問題。好的男高音是稀有動物，而聲帶，便如他們的生命一樣。
他自訴：「也許，這是我人生當中最糟的一天。當我去看醫生時，我告訴他：『我發現自己在唱假音的時候出了點問題。現在我還能用胸腔共鳴，但我知道自己只是在避開這個問題罷了。』他將一個管子從我鼻子上插下去直通我的喉嚨（題外話：呆先生自己過去也曾為了聲帶問題而從那兒被插，剛開始醫生拿棉花棒沾一點潤滑劑插進鼻孔深處一會兒，接著將棉花棒拿出後，醫生叫我頭抬高仰直，讓鼻孔與喉嚨呈一直線，後便將管子從鼻子裡插進去，當場流下許多男兒淚，不是哭，是因為刺激到淚腺。），然後告訴我，我的聲帶上長了一顆腫塊，他們將會幫我動手術移除這顆腫塊，並且毫不保留地告訴我說：可能，我將失去我歌唱的高音域。他們無法給我任何保證。那天回家的路上，淚水無法控制地從眼裡奔出。」
幸運地，手術相當成功，羅素華生的聲帶恢復了。
他的下一張專輯【Amore Musica（愛之頌 / 或譯愛與音樂）】，便是他真實的人生自白，這裡頭是有關於「愛」、「音樂」、「和平」、「幸福」，還有「希望」。也許正是他的生命經驗給他的靈感，啟發他創作了這張專輯。
但那屬於黑色而兇險的人生巨浪並沒有在航程中結束，羅素華生，被診斷長了腦瘤，醫生說再不切除的話等腫瘤長大起來便會失明，但他如勇敢的戰士，將這秘密藏住，並且於前年錄完他的專輯：【That's Life（縱情人生）】！
一波未平一波又起，2007年10月24日，羅素華生在錄音的時候突然感覺到頭部劇烈疼痛，醫生在他腦中發現新的腫瘤，25日進行開刀手術。所幸死神這次仍未奪走他的生命。
「即使未來的人生變數仍多，但我把每一天都當成是新的開始。」他說。勇敢迎接生命的挑戰！ 相信Russell Watson的箭矢還尚未耗盡。他的對手們！請給這名勇士鼓掌。
